Dr. Mrs. Amudha Lakshmi was bestowed with the “Excellence in Education Award” by the Veerammal Educational and Charitable Trust in a momentous ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, 2023. This prestigious accolade was graciously presented by the honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Mr. R.N. Ravi, amidst an august assembly of erudite educators.

Headword Publishing Company has had the distinct honor of recognizing Dr. Mrs. Amudha Lakshmi, with an award for her unwavering dedication to the art of teaching, characterized by an approach that brings joy and enlightenment to the learning process.

Mrs. S. AMUDHA LAKSHMI, Principal

Principal Mrs. S. Amudha Lakshmi, an exemplary leader and a phenomenal administrator has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and citations. She has been bestowed with a  Certificate of Honour by the Headword Publishing Company for her outstanding contribution to the domain of education. Mrs. Amudha Lakshmi has also been the recipient of the SOF Best Principal Award and Appreciation Certificate for the pivotal role played by her in initiating and organising competitive examinations for student excellence.

K S PUGALENTHY, PGT, DEPARTMENT OF TAMIL

Our very own Mr. Pugalenthy, on top of being an irreplaceable asset to the Tamil department, received some well-deserved recognition for his invaluable contributions to CV in the form of the Best Teacher award presented in the Teachers Day celebration held at Rajalakshmi Institute of Engineering.

MEERA SHIVASHANKAR, PGT, DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

The ever-delightful Mrs. Meera from the English Department made for a moment of pride for the entire school by receiving BookLeaf Publishing’s 21st Century Emily Dickinson Award for her book. The book, titled ‘Verses’, a wonderful tome of poems authored by Mrs. Meera, was published in June of 2023.

SIVESHWARI BHASKER, PGT, DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

The exceedingly accomplished Mrs. Siveshwari received the Dr. S Radhakrishnan Award in the Bharat Shiksha Awards on behalf of the school. Her achievements didn’t end there as she also won the Best Teacher award from the Mohamed Sathak Trust on their Golden Jubilee year celebrations in a moment of pride for CV.

VIJAYA GANESH, PGT, DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE

The ever-helpful Mrs. Vijaya, an indispensable asset to the Commerce department, received the Best Teacher award in a moment of recognition and gratitude for her tremendously significant contributions to CV in the annual Teachers’ Day event conducted by the East Zone Cluster.

PRIYA SESHADRI, PGT, DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

The incredibly proficient Mrs. Priya, on top of teaching English, is a gifted runner who has made CV proud on multiple occasions. Her accolades include 2nd in The Hindu’s Made of Chennai Run 2023 in the 10k category, 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal in the 5000m, 1500m and 800m events respectively at the Chennai District Masters Athletics Meet 2023. Mrs. Priya has even qualified to participate at the State Level.

USHA RANI, PGT, DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

Mrs. Usha, an acutely talented member of the Chemistry department was an invitee at The Art of Living Foundation’s World Culture Festival 2023 held at the National Mall  in Washington DC, United States. She made all of us proud by skillfully playing the veena at a live symphony as part of more than 10,000 international artists.

V LAKSHMI, PGT, DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY

Mrs. Lakshmi, one of the most outstandingly well-versed members of the faculty received the ‘Aacharya Mani’ Best Teacher Award as a symbol of her  immeasurable contributions to the apparatus of the school from Chennai Sahodaya Schools Complex as part of their drive to appreciate the effort that goes into nurturing young minds.

  • Sujatha A, PGT – Department of Tamil, is a recipient of The Best Teacher Award from Navis Excellence in association with the prestigious Lions’ Club for her service to the domain of teaching.

Mrs. V. Thilagavathi,  TGT – Department of Tamil, has been honoured with The Singapenne Award, instituted by International Book of World Records for her relentless strivings in the field of professional teaching.

  • RATHINA SUBRAMANIAN A, Dance Instructor has been conferred with an honorary Doctor of Letters, by the International Tamil University, for his outstanding contributions in the field of Classical Dance & Social Activities.

Kavignar Sura (S Ramachandran), from the Tamil Department, crafted a seminar work in Tamil titled Idhaliyal Melanmai, delving into research within Tamil journalism. This magnum opus clinched the prestigious Tamil Nadu State Level Best Award —an honour bestowed by the Tamil Nadu Government . Kavignar Sura’s contribution stands as a testament to his profound impact on Tamil literature and journalistic exploration.

 

Mrs. Devi, an inspiring figure within the Tamil Department, earned the esteemed Arivoli Aasan recognition for her tireless dedication in fostering student engagement in diverse Tamil literature competitions across Tamil Nadu . The prestigious honour was conferred upon her by Sudhandhira Eyyakkam, acknowledging her invaluable efforts in nurturing and promoting Tamil literary pursuits among the youth.
