Girnar Anand, 12, is the quintessence of MUNing. He has bagged 18 prizes in 20 interschool MUNs over the last 3 years apart from having chaired National and International MUNs. He was judged best delegate in 8 MUNs. He was the only Indian and the third student to pass from the Johns Hopkins Summer School in the past fifteen years and to have scored full distinction in the Physiology courses.  He gave a lecture and built a simulated model of insulin delivery system developed by Belmin J as part of his presentation in the High School Science Student Symposium and won it. He has completed certificate courses in

2. Advanced Neuro Science from STANFORD UNIVERSITY

He is also musically talented and has learnt classical Guitar. He was also selected  to perform at the London College of Music Grand Festival. He has completed an intermediate course in Spanish.

Varsha R 12, the captain and the backbone of CV’s Basketball team has consistently been the ‘Most Valuable Player’. She has been selected from Tamil Nadu to participate in the National Level Junior NBA Camp thrice for the Under 13 category and in the year 2016 for  the under 16 category. To add to her glory, Varsha has represented Chennai District and was selected for Tamil Nadu State Basketball Teams to participate in the National Level Basket Ball Tournament for Sub-Junior and Youth category. She has won several Best Player awards at School, State, National and International level Basket Ball tournaments.

Pranav Varanasi, 12 the assistant cultural secretary of 2016-17 also has phenomenal achievements in the field of sports. His exceptional prowess in football has won him several laurels. His awards include Best player in the St Michaels tournament (U18) and Best Defender in the Omega state tournament. Pranav played for the Chennaiyin FC(U16). He continued to soar to greater heights as he represented team India in Germany and  has been selected from among many  players  for training in Germany. He has represented Tamil Nadu at a National level tournament this year.

Aakash Kumar, 12 received a certificate of high distinction in Australian Chemistry Olympiad.  He bagged prizes at the many interschool championships including Chennai Interschool Sports Fest, interschool sports and games competition, interclub aquatic meet and in KESPA Hindustan University Meet.

Smriteek Dash,12 is a passionate debater. He was the deputy secretary general of Ampersand and has chaired 2 MUNs.  He was placed 26th in the International English Olympiad at the zonal level.

Siddharth Sridhar, 12 attended Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS program) at Boston University in 2017. He is one among 8 students from India who were awarded Mehta Fellowship to attend the programme.  He also won an Honourable Mention at the 11th International Olympiad for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Thailand.

Vedant, 12 was awarded with a gold medal in the UK Intermediate Math Challenge and the set theory award from Cambridge. He is a senior school tennis team finalist. He was recognized for his best press conference in CVMUN and won a high commendation in SANMUN. He also won a quiz conducted by IIT Madras.

Pyneni Roopesh, 12 was placed 19(International), in the international math Olympiad and 18(International) in the national science Olympiad. She was a member of the football team and won tournaments in Vana Vani and Lady Andal.

Shakthi T, 11 has won four gold medals and  the championship title in the State Meet conducted by Tamilnadu Speed Skating Association.  He has also won a bronze medal in the International Skatathon conducted by Asian Games Federation of India.  He is also the winner of gold and bronze medal in the district and state Roll Ball Championship.

Monish S, 11 was the first runner up in the International Art Competition conducted by    Global Art in December, in Sunway Pyramid, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ishwariya G, 10 is a multitasker with immense  talent in sailing, wind surfing, athletics. She was ranked 4th in Asia in the Asian Sailing Youth Cup series held at Chennai, Hongkong, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. She also won bronze medal at the national Rowing competition held at Telangana.


Varoon S, 10 is a bike racer who won the 6th place in the International race held at Delhi in November 2017.  He was also placed 2nd at the National Gixxer Cup conducted by JK Tyres.


Sneha R, 10 is both an athlete and a basketball player who is a strong member of the school team and contributed to the team’s winning the championships at Vaels’s International, PSBB KK Nagar and Jr.NBA matches.


Harita  S , 10  is an enthusiastic basketball player who has been instrumental in the school team winning the 1 st place in tournaments conducted by DPS Sharjah, Lady Andal,Vidya mandir and CBSE Clusters.




Samyuktha S, 12, our sports captain, has been representing our school for the past 6 years  in the CBSE swimming competitions at the National Level and has won medals.   Her most striking achievement is the new record she holds in the 4X100 relay in the state meet. Besides swimming, she won the second place in the 10km Pinkathon, an awareness marathon.

Jayaskandhan, 12, the assistant sports captain of CV has won five medals in the CBSE nationals for swimming and an individual championship in the South Zone.

Siva Santosh, 12 is a talented swimmer who has won numerous medals in state and national level meets . His most prized possession is his Gold & Silver  medals won in the Khelo India National Swimming Championship held at the Common Wealth Stadium, New Delhi and he holds a new record in 4x100mts freestyle relay in, CBSE Nationals.

Rashmitha, 12 vice-captain of our Basketball team was adjudged the best player and the most valuable player in the tournaments held in Lady Andal, KRMM and PSBB. She drove the team to success in many championships, including the CBSE National Basketball tournament (runners up) and won the ‘Sundeep Batavia’ interschool tournaments hosted by DPS, Sharjah for 3 consecutive years.

Karthik Suresh, 12  has made his mark both in the streams of Arts and Science. He is also the recipient of the KVPY fellowship award and a certificate of merit for the National Standard Examination in Astronomy for being placed in the National top 1%. He has received many awards for talent, control and expertise in Carnatic music. He has performed in various concerts across the globe. His notable awards include the Certificate of excellence  from the international women’s association;  Valayapatti Kashyap Child artist award and a scholarship for Mridangam from CCRT, ministry of culture. He also sang for films: Ramanujan , Vishwaroopam 2 and Kaavya Thalaivan.

Tejas A, 8 is an ardent skater who has won various prizes in competitions ranging from National to district level. He has won 1st place in the skatathon. He has won gold medal in the state level competition and bronze in the Nationals.

Veladi Shankara Madhav Dhatta, 8 has been selected  to represent the Tamilnadu state in the 40th Sub junior Archery Nationals to be conducted at Hyderabad, Telangana.  He has won a gold medal in the 2nd Puducherry State Archery championship 2017.


Smruthi Mahalingam, 8 is a Junior National Aquatic champion with 2 gold & 2 silver medals in the CBSE National Swimming competition & 1 silver and 2 bronze in the Karnataka State Olympics.  She has been selected to represent the school at the Prime Minister’s project ‘Khelo India’ that trains sports persons for 2024 and 2028 Olympics.


Jieva Aashika Vairamani, 9 has won the second prize at the 11th Kolor Champ National Global Art competition.


Ahamed Azraq H, 10 has won individual championship at the CBSE Nationals and holds a record in 800m and 1500m free style and 400m individual medley.  He has also won gold and silver medals in the SFI Junior National Aquatic and the Khelo India National Swimming Championship, CBSE south zone and National and Tamilnadu Senior State Meet.




Suryakanth,12 is a state level cricketer who was one among the 20 to represent the state for 4 consecutive years and has scored 2 centuries in the state round Robin matches.


Subalakshmi M S,12 has been a commendable chess player. She won the 1st place in the Chennai district chess championship, 2nd place in Murugappa Tamil Nadu chess tournament, CBSE interschool championship and solar open championship, 3rd place in international fide.


Thirumagal, 12  has won gold and silver medals in the Buck Memorial Sports Festival, TN state interschool shooting championship and in the south zone competition. She also won 3 bronze medals in 43rd TN state shooting championship.


Surya Prakash , 12 has a passion for horse riding and has made his mark in the field of equestrian sports. He was awarded in the categories of jumping and dressage events in the Adhiparashakti competition.  He also stood first and second in the jumping and dressage events held at Pondicherry.


Arya, 12 was a semi finalist in the singles event and a runner-up in the doubles event at school level Table Tennis tournament.   He earned the second and third places in a tournament conducted by Champs Table Tennis Academy.


Rishith Gnanasekar, 9  has won gold and bronze at the state level swimming competition and is a proud recipient of the individual championship trophy at KESPA & TN State interschool swimming competition.


Sulaiman Ahamed N, 9 has won many prizes in Karate championship both inter school and district, besides winning the third place in the state level Inter-Dojo Karate Championship.


Pooja S, 9 won the first prize in the water polo championship conducted by Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association during Tamilnadu State Winter Aquatic Championship 2017.


Felicia Jeren J I, 8 has won 1st place in basketball tournament conducted by Vaels International and Reliance Foundation JR. NBA. She won the 4th place in the state level tournament conducted by Tiruvanamalai District Basketball Association.


Shree Mohan B K , 7 won a Gold medal in 200 m freestyle and silver medal in 4X50 m medley and 4X50 m freestyle  conducted by the Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association.  Has won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in various competitions conducted By Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association, SDAT, Madras District Association and Hindustan University.


Gagan Rakesh Vimal, 7 is the winner of the National Tennis Tournament conducted by Powerpak Tennis Academy. He has qualified for the semi finals in the tournaments conducted by Krishnan tennis center and  Yonex YMCA.


Aafreen Ahamed Sait, 7 is selected to represent the Tamilnadu State Women’s Cricket under-16 team and participated in the South Zone Interstate Women’s Tournament.


Dhananjayan S, 6 has won many gold and silver medals at the CBSE South Zone swimming Meet, Tamil Nadu State Aquatic championship and several district level interschool competitions.   He has been awarded with ‘Special Genius Shebha’ title by Genius Magazine.


Sivan S Roshan, 6 is a chess player and has won several awards in various championships. He won the second place in the 20th TN State Interschool Tournament and Marippan Nadar Memorial Chennai District Level Chess tournament. He won the 3rd place in the M S Venkatraman Memorial Internationaland 2nd Tamil Nadu State Level children’s chess tournament.


Sukriti A D, 6 has been undergoing intensive training in yoga. She is very proficient in more than 200 asanas. She has participated in the State Yogasana Championship. She has given solo demonstration at the school’s Annual Sports Meet and International Yoga Day events.


Vijay Sabareswar K M, 6  won the 1st place in interschool swimming competition conducted by Indian public school and won the 3rd place in the competition conducted by SDAT.


Gurukalyan, 12 was crowned Mr. Agnee (DAV Boys) and Mr.Scintillator (P S Senior).  He was the runner-up at Kalpakosha (Siva Swami Kalalaya), Impressionz (NPS) and Astra (Bhavans). He was awarded best conference and best reporter in PS MUN and CV MUN.

Karthik Subramanian, 12 was awarded best delegate in SISHMUN and SA MUN and high commendations in NPS MUN and PS MUN. He was the chairperson and deputy secretary general in CVMUN-2017. He won the 3rd place in the lawyers up event in Reverberations (PSBB). He has also completed an internship with Vox Populi.

Megha Bhasker, 12 a talented dancer has completed certified courses in Natya Vani, Natya Sharadha, Natya Kalaivani and Natya Praveena. She was part of the school choir and has been trained in classical music by Nithyashree Mahadevan.

Sujay S, 12 has won many prizes in events such as JAM, Block And Tackle and Spin a Yarn. He also won the first place in the battle-on debate and has completed the black belt level in karate.  He is a football player and has a diploma in social media marketing. He has won 4 best delegate awards and 6 high commendations in 11 MUNs.

Anushri Eswaran, 12 is an ardent MUNner with 4 Best delegates award and has chaired 2 MUNs. She was titled the best dancer (Bharatanatyam) in Sri Parthasarathy Sabha. She also secured the first place in Tarang for the music event and second place in shoot Madras 2016.

Harsh Yadav,  12 , a student with very high intellectual acumen won the first place in the Times NIE Fundamental Quiz conducted by the Times of India and VIT.

Ishan Gupta, 12 has talents ranging from sports to drama & adventure activities. His most challenging and daredevil achievement was successfully completing a 12,500 Ft Snow expedition to Kedarkantha.  He was also a part of the Chettinad Players.

Jahnavi Selvakumar, 12 has won the best delegate award 4 times, has chaired 2 MUNS and was the deputy secretary general of CVMUN 2017. She was the director of Ampersand. She was also a participant in the ‘E-educate’ and Save The Tiger Campaigns. She has won a gold medal in the cyber Olympiad and has completed 10 grades with distinction in ‘Brain O Brain’.
